Clinical Training

Clinical Training

Established in 1979, the Denver STD/HIV Prevention Training Center (Denver PTC) provides state-of-the-art clinical training to providers who diagnose, treat and manage sexually transmitted diseases. While some programs, like the STD Grand Rounds Satellite Program, are national or international in scope, the Denver PTC primarily focuses on serving clinicians in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah. Our program is affiliated with the Denver Metro Health Clinic, the region's largest STD clinic.

Offering a mix of experiential and didactic training, PTC Clinical programs, -- including STD/HIV Updates, 3-Day STD Intensive Courses, Wet Prep Workshops, Client-Centered Counseling Workshops and others -- are accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE).   Many courses fill months in advance, so applicants are encouraged to register early!
