STD Clinical Prevention Training Center

Established in 1979, the Denver Prevention Training Center (PTC) is one of eight regional clinical training centers funded by the CDC to provide state-of-the-art clinical training to providers who diagnose, treat, and manage sexually transmitted infections. Our program is affiliated with the Denver Metro Health Clinic, one of the region's largest STD clinics.

We offer a mix of experiential and didactic PTC clinical program trainings at our center and with our partners. Courses include:

  • STD/HIV Updates
  • 3 day STD Intensive Courses
  • Wet Prep Workshops
  • PEP/PrEP
  • Culturally Competent Care
  • Grand Rounds STD Presentations
  • Topic Specific Webinars

The Denver PTC is accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE). Continued education for training varies based on course offerings.
